Bungalows

the kind of abode you'd expect to find a castaway in

Crusoe’s abodes aren’t your average mass-produced beach bungalow; they are each unique in design and encompassed by dense jungle for the ultimate outdoor experience! With only four bungalows distantly spaced along the foreshore you’re guaranteed a peaceful and comfortable stay.

And those 4 bungalows are enough; we won’t be building any more! The idea was to spend more time making a few bungalows as perfect as we could, rather than have a large amount of boring clones in an row on the beach. Instead, our bungalows are placed a healthy distance from each other along a simple sandy path that runs parallel to the coastline. Each bungalow is surrounded by dense jungle and is completely private from the next, accessible only by the coastal footpath.

Budget Bungalow

Our budget bungalow is The Hut, priced at $15 per night. This bungalow is closer to the base camp and doesn’t have attached bathrooms. It is situated beside a tidal creek that runs into the island and is in a prime area for observing large monitor lizards and other wildlife that frequents the creek. Expect to hear bumps in the night as the jungle comes alive around you!

  • Quirky building set a bit further back from the coast (better in wet season)
  • 150m walk to the shared toilet and shower block in base camp
  • Includes a Queen-sized bed with mosquito nets
  • Supplied with mains 220v power from 6pm to 9pm (lights and power outlets)
  • Include a hammock

Premium Bungalows

Crusoe’s premium bungalows are The View and The Explorer. These bungalows are further away from all the action at base camp and provide even more serenity than the others. The area that these bungalows are situated is rich with tall trees and dense undergrowth making a perfect habitat for Eagles, Hornbills and large birds of prey. These bungalows are priced at $25 per night and include a few features that make them much more comfortable!
